For more info on wet flood damaged tape - see the bottom of the Video Tape page FAQs. We have transfered wrinkled, broken, wet, 'sticky' magnetic tape and other damaged media. If nothing can be saved - you pay only return shipping. Wet, Water, Flood Damaged Tapes ? Gently
rinse dirt from the outside of tape cases or swish in a bucket of clean
water. Do not force the dirt inside the housing. Keep
rincing in clean buckets of water until water stays clean. It is
most important that mold is not allowed to form. Allow
tapes to drain naturally in sealed in bags in a cool place
(refrigerator) to slow degradation (do not freeze); empty the bags
regularly. Allow the tapes to stay moist in the sealed
bags and ship them to their destination very well packed with
at least 2 inches of padding on ALL 6 sides in a rigid box (no mailing
